Stewart, who puckered up to co-star Fanning for a scene in the forthcoming The Runaways, claimed the kiss wasn’t romantic.
“It’s just something we did,” the Twilight star told E! at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of the Joan Jett biopic.
“In this story, it’s so not like a romantic thing. It’s just something that they just do.”
The actress claimed the pair were more worried about performing on stage then their kissing technique.
“We had so many other really crazy things that we were intimidated by, like, we had a performance that day, so when that came up on the schedule we were like, ‘Whoa!’”
“But then, ‘Alright, whatever’. It was sort of just like another thing.”
